The Referees Appointment Committee of the Ghana Football Association chaired by Shaibu Salifu Zida has washed Referee Charles Bulu clean from unfortunate violence which occured in the Ghana Premier League.
Match Day 3 of the Ghana Premier League between Asante Kotoko SC and Berekum Chelsea witnessed violence at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium leading to several injuries.

The Referees Appointment Committee of the Ghana Football Association has lauded Ghanaian FIFA Referee Charles Bulu for a good work done during a League match game between Asante Kotoko SC and Berekum Chelsea FC.

Though, it was an unfortunate incident witnessed at the Stadium on Sunday. But the Referees Appointment Committee having watched images and videos of the unfortunate incident, plus the committee holistic review on the game itself, says BRAVO to Referee Charles Bulu for the good work done.
Applying the rules and regulations of the game which says, ‘Fair Play’ and Standing firm and never got intimidated in anyway or form.
We will urge all match officials to emulate the standard of professionalism displayed by the center Referee of the said game.
Our profound sympathy goes to the injured, and we pray for speedy recovery. The Appointment Committee takes a dim view of violence at the various match centers and therefore, will not be pushed by clubs selfish interest that can arouse unfortunate developments asuch.
To this end we believe it’s only fair and proper to encourage fans to the match centers but should desist from hooliganism. Since, that would not grow the game but cause lost of life’s and properties.
The Referees Appointment Committee wish to emphasize that, it’s a committee incorporated
under the Ghana Football Association asuch governs by it Rules and Regulations.
We wish to assure all that as an institution it does not condone any manner of corrupt practices.
Once again, we wish the injured speedy recovery.
