Former Eastern regional chief scribe of the opposition National democratic congress ( NDC ) Mark Oliver Kofi Kevor has donated food items to Nkawkaw, Kwahu Tafo and Ankoma Zongo Community ahead of tomorrow’s Eld al fitr celebration.

The items donated include bags of rice, assorted drinks, cooking oil and undisclosed amount of money.
Eid al- Fitr, also called the ” Festival of Breaking the fast ” is a religious holiday celebrated by Muslims across the globe that marks the end of the month – long dawn – to sunset fasting of Ramadan. This religious Eid is the only day in the month of shawwal during which Muslims are not permitted to fast.

The former Eastern regional Secretary of Ndc made the donation to the Nkawkaw Zongo, Kwahu Tafo Zongo, and Ankoma Zongo.

Mark Oliver, as he is affectionately called, was accompanied by some Constituency executives and Regional executives, Assembly man of the Zongo electoral area who double as 2016 parliamentary candidate for Ndc, Hon Tamimu Halidu and other branch executives of the party.

Nkawkaw Zongo chief Alhaji Osman Abdul Nasir who received the items, thanked him for the kind gesture.

Hon Mark-Oliver Kevor further donated free airtime on Okwawu and Afram FM to the Zongo community for the Imams and elders to engage moslems in response to the challenges of not being able to meet physically due to the COVID-19.
