Explaining into detail where the various cases were suspected, he said two were voluntary testing with the others being new individuals in the communities.

“One health worker at Maame Krobo and a lady from Kyeame-Kissi showed some symptoms that were similar to those of Covid19. To be on the safer side, they opted for voluntary testing and quarantined themself until the results came out. The other three who happened to be people who travelled into the various communities were also interviewed by the Disease Control Team together with the Ghana Police Service. They all turned up to be negative” he added.

The DCE continued to mentioned that the District Assembly is doing its best in making sure a Covid19 case won’t be recorded in the District.

“We have done a lot as a district and we are still doing more to see to it that no Covid19 case is recorded in the District. We have done public education in almost all the communities, provided veronica buckets, hand sanitisers, liquid soaps and tissues to various institutions and at vantage points” he added.

Answering questions on measured taken to prevent the spread of the pandemic at the various entery points of the District, he said there have been provisions and measures put in place.

“Look at Ekye for instance, there are teams of health workers who screens and check the temperature of individuals as they enter the District. Veronica buckets, soaps and tissue papers have also been provided. Even though there were times people were not observing the safety precautions, we are working on enforcing those rules” he said.
