The Coordinator for School Health Programme (SHEP) in Kwahu West Municipality, Mr Joseph Ekpe has disclosed that under the bad influence of the novel Coronavirus pandemic on schools, fifteen (15) out of 162 Private Schools have collapsed in Kwahu West Municipal.

Speaking with Okwawu News, Mr Ekpe Joseph who withheld the identity of the schools because of some security reasons said, the collapsed schools were as a result of financial difficulties which most of the school proprietors faced due to the outbreak of the COVID-19, which led to the closure of the schools in the country.

He added that, even though there is the possibility of these 15 collapsed schools coming back to an existence, but because they were not ready for the fumigation exercise, he can say they are not in existence for now.
