An Islamic scholar Alhaji Amin Mohammed has said the population council should rather chastise and encourage successive governments’ to initiate deliberate policies to address our challenges than advocating for the reduction of child bearing to three (3).

The executive director of the National population council, Madam Leticia Adelaide Appiah has proposed that procreation should be limited to (3) children per couple to ensure the production of quality human resources in the country.

Speaking with Alhaji Amin Mohammed on “Enkyere mu ne sen” a news analysis program on Okwawu fm, he said, government should concentrate on putting in place policies that will aim at fixing our infrastructure deficit, and create jobs for the teeming unemployed youth in the country.

” God has asked us to be fruitful, multiply, and replenish the earth, so why are they asking us to disobey God through depopulation”, he asked.

” China has a population of about 1,373 billion and yet they have one of the biggest economies in the world and so government should stop massaging our challenges and put in place measures and policies to curb our numerous challenges”, he urged.
