The outgoing Bono East Regional Minister, Hon. Kofi Amoakohene has in the company of members of the Bono East Regional Security Council paid visits to victims of the December 8th shooting incident in Techiman.
The visit took the outgoing Regional Minister and his entourage to the homes of the two deceased who were
- Tajudeen Mohammed
- Abdalla Ayarek
Those who sustained Injuries and he visited include
- Nashiru Alhassan
- Jadalhak Idriss
- Ajara Fuseini
- Abubakar Idriss
- Eliasu Sulemana who is still on admission at the orthopedic department of the Wenchi Methodist hospital.
Mr. Amoakohene on behalf of the Bono East Regional Coordinating Council presented cash donation of Gh5,000 each to the families of the deceased to defray part of the cost of burial and Gh1,000 each to those who were injured to defray part of their hospital Bill’s.
He further appealed to all of them to remain calm as investigations are ongoing into the matter and those found culpable brought to justice.
Mr. Amoakohene also prayed that never again in the political discourse of our country should such an incident happen in any part of our country.
